Cochin once again

Travelling back to Cochin took 6hrs, but we managed to take in some sights. There was no photography at the Dutch palace or the Synogoue. The history of the Raja’s, the colonisation of the Portuguese and the Dutch was fascinating. We all learnt that there is a royal family in Kerela and the martial arts dance show we saw yesterday dates back 2,000 BC, as a way of training. This practise was abolished when British ruled, however from independence there has been a resurgence of  leading this discipline.

One surprise and giggle for the day was how Harley was a magnet for a group of tourists who wanted to be photographed with him! One minute he was with us and the next minute he was being idolised and been asked to have selfies with them! He got a fan club going! Raj jokingly mentioned later in the day that he charge 50R for all photos! Shivali got roped in the second time.

Another beautiful church on the drive back from Kumily
