Welcome to our “Cultural Connections” blog. Our family invites you to join us on our experiences and wonders of our trip from NZ to India. This blog is for all our friends, family and amazing people with whom we come in contact with. A huge shout out to the “Hautapu Globe Trotters”, who through their encouragement, have inspired me to start this blog. Their excitement and curiosity is driving this shared experience.

Ganesh and family
Ganesh (also spelled Ganesa or Ganesha and known as Ganapati, Vinayaka and Pillaiyar) is the Lord of Good Fortune who provides prosperity, fortune and success. He is the Lord of Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles of both material and spiritual kinds.
Clever use of target market!
Ok, so is this clever advertising or what? Raj and Vikki bought back water after a hot day at Kanyakumari - looking forward to our next slurp of water. But when we saw the bottles, we needed to do a double take, to look at the make and thought to ourselves... did you buy soda water? ... but I think it is a smart take on target words and advertising...and so true!
